-
Have no more than six penalty points on your driving license
-

Step 2: Take a Qualification Course
To become a qualified driving instructor, you must take a qualification course approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). There are three parts to the course:
-
Part 1: Theory and Hazard Perception Test
-
Part 2: Driving Ability Test
-
Part 3: Instructional Ability Test
Step 3: Apply for Registration
Once you’ve completed your qualification course, you can apply to be registered as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with the DVSA. You’ll need to provide proof of your qualifications, pass a criminal record check, and pay a fee.
Step 4: Find a Franchise
Once you’re a qualified driving instructor, you can choose to work independently or join a franchise like MerseyDrive. Joining a franchise can be a great way to get the support and resources you need to build a successful business.
